The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent (Light Novel) Vol. 1 by Yuka Tachibana

In this particular series Sei was brought to another world by a Saint Summoning Ritual, but she wasn’t the only one. I’ve read a few female led isekai, and yes, sure, a number of the male characters seem to fall for the main character, but the protagonist also does other stuff. Any other plot is off to the side and given a lot less of a focus, which is unfortunate because they could be great giving more equivalent focus to other aspects of the story as well. It just seems with the male led isekai that they’re all pretty much the same story: guy from our world (usually a workaholic and/or a geek) gets iseakai’d, and then spends his time gathering what basically amounts to a harem of buxom ladies. The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent is a female led isekai, which is a type of manga I’ve been craving a bit lately. The first volume is sort of figuring itself out, laying out the characters in both design and personality and setting up the story and the world and the magic and the potential obstacles towards a dream or goal. Sure, this is a 4 star volume, not a 5 star volume…but let me just say that I find a lot of first volumes to rate a little lower. Might Sei be the Saint this world needs after all? My Thoughts As she helps the sick and the dying, her talents reveal themselves.

Left alone, she explores her newfound powers at the royal Research Institute, unraveling the mysteries of magic potions. And she especially didn’t expect to be totally ignored by the locals! While the kingdom desperately needs a hero, it turns out Sei was just the backup option. Living the workaholic life in her mid-20s, Sei never expected she’d be summoned to another world, let alone obtain the power of a living Saint. It’s the start of a new to the blog series, but I’m really happy to talk about it, so let’s get started. With that said, I suppose we should jump into this week’s Manga Monday. For now it’s just one post each week, but if I get too much of a backlog of reviews, then it might be increased to two posts each Monday. And one of the things that we both enjoy is reading manga and watching anime…which helps with blog series like this one, Manga Monday, where each post covers one volume of a manga. Us finding each other was really like something from a romance story.Īnyway, it’s so nice to see how much we’ve been able to build up together.

Thinking on our whole relationship gets me sappy and emotional. We’ve been together since April 2017, and it somehow feels both very long and very fast at the same time. Back to more cooking and cleaning and reading and writing and blogging and figuring out what this next stage of my life and my life with David will be. It’s been a pretty fun weekend, and now it’s back to the standard weekly schedule.
